Feb. 7
Actor, author, jazz singer and filmmaker Byron Motley will present The Negro Baseball League: An American Legacy from 1-2:30 p.m., in the Conference Center Auditorium at College of Coastal Georgia, Brunswick, Ga.

Feb. 12
Change in the Wind is a documentary about the relationship between Margaret Mitchell (Gone with the Wind) and Morehouse College President Dr. Benjamin Mays in segregated South of 1940s. Reservations required. 7 pm. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. Call the Jekyll Island Museum: 635-4036.

Step Afrika performs at 8 p.m. in Coffin Gym at College of Coastal Georgia, Brunswick, Ga.

Cultural Expressions Art Show  featuring Serena Hall, Michele Nicole Johnson, Loretta Pressley, Ethel Wilson and Flora Youmans.

Feb. 21
Civil War reenactor Joseph McGill will present Jubilee!, portraying the experiences of the first black Union soldiers on Jekyll Island. 7 p.m. Call the Jekyll Island Museum, Historic District, at 635-4036.

 
April 12
The International Festival featuring local artists will be held from 2-7 p.m. on the campus of College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Ga.

April  25-27

Hog Hammock Public Library, in partnership with the Clara Wood Gould Memorial Library on the campus of College of Coastal Georgia, will present Bilali Muhammad: An American Story. The programs are part of the Muslim Journeys Bookshelf, sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association. Details to come.
